BBC가 테레사 메이를 취재한 인터뷰에서 BBC 뉴스나이트 앵커 에밀리 메이틀리스가 "국민들은 당신이 떠날 때 겁쟁이라고 소리쳤다"고 비난하자 메이는 "어제 당면한 사고의 여파 속에서도 일상의 일을 해나가도록 공공 서비스를 확고히 하는 일이였다"고 말했습니다.

그러나 에밀리 메이틀리스는 "그건 수요일에 필요한 일이였다. 당신이 했던 건 사흘 동안의 일 아니냐"고 몰았습니다. 

테레사 메이 총리는 사고가 난지 1일 뒤인 15일에 그렌펠 타워를 찾았으나 주민들을 만나지 않고 가서 비난을 샀습니다.

It was a cringe making embarrassment. I watched it for five minutes and she didn't answer one single question. She seems to have a list of pre-paid replies in her head and if someone doesn't ask a question that fits one of those replies then she's stuck.
